Reece has been going through what I hope is a stage where he is protesting his nap.
I can seriously read him five Curious George's and he is still bright eyed asking for more stories Mommy.
Today he counted to thirteen and told me out of the blue that he is a genius.
I called him Hon and he told me he is not Hon that's Daddy.
He loves to build forts and his very own nests.
He loves peanut butter and honey sandwiches and picnics on the kitchen floor. The last two nights the whole family has had dinner on a blanket in the kitchen, he has been in heaven.
We are going to a St. Patricks Day parade on Saturday and he has been marching around the house practicing.
Back to the nap situation, twice this week my little buddy has fallen asleep in or next to one of his nests. He just doesn't want to miss any fun.
My heart is so full of love for my little guy I can hardly stand it.

Choppy Chop
When I was eight months pregnant with Celine I wrote myself a letter. A little note telling myself not to cut my hair after she was born. When Reece was 3.5 months old I chopped my long hair into a shoulder length cut and had been growing it out ever since.
So here we are 3 months after Celine's birth and I am itching for a cut. The thing I forgot was why I cut my hair off when Reece was a babe, the long drying times, the tiny fingers pulling my hair and the constant ponytail.
My girlfriend Shannon sent me some hair ideas yesterday and I think I am going to chop it off tonight. I pinned the second one a while back and love the whole thing cut and color.
Appointment is tonight at 6:45PM, I should be there and back before 8:00PM bedtime.
This will only be the fourth time I have been away from Celine since her birth, two grocery trips and a hair color. Weird to some I know, but it works for me. I don't like leaving my babies when they are babies, before I know it we will be out of this honeymoon phase and back to reality and I will have plenty of opportunities to venture away.
Thoughts? Should I just get a trim and listen to my eight months pregnant self or cut it off?

Mini Style
I love dressing our kids, love finding unique and fun ways for both Reece and Celine.
I never really buy any of it for full price, I always buy it when it is on sale. I hate paying full price for their stuff.
I have a few blogs that I look at and "borrow" a lot of children's fashion ideas from.
I love her posts on mini celebrity ideas and street style. Brandy has incredible style and Kingston and Harlow would stop me in my tracks on the street.
Oscar and Pepper are you kidding me, adorable. I love how she dresses her kids, it is so cute. My friend Lauren turned me on to her blog a couple years ago and I have been following her ever since.
I love watching them on their adventures in the city. Elle, Owen and Oscar are all beautiful. Elle looks like a little Reese Witherspoon.
Enjoy!

Side by Side
Side by Side of Reece and Celine
People tell me Reece looks like me and Celine looks like Craig
When I look at these I see comparisons though
Time goes so fast
Happy Three Months
You have officially slept through the night for half of your life. Since you were 1.5 months old you have only woken up once from the time we put you to sleep till the sun comes up, thank you. I know this could change at anytime I am saying thank you for the sleeper you have been so far.
You got your first cold, much to soon. I hated seeing you sick, you are actually still recovering but you wouldn't know it by the way you have been happy and smiling. You are a good little sick patient, through your cold you only woke up the one time when we forgot to turn on the humidifier and your nose dried out at night.
You are holding your head up like a champ and are starting to like tummy time a little more.
You like to hold my hand and are starting to want to make constant eye contact when you eat, you stop eating only to smile at me when you catch my eye.
You spent your first night in a hotel at Suncadia, for as much as you hate being cold you were a great little snowbunny.
You still HATE the car, honestly it is really the only time that you cry. You scream not cry almost the entire time we drive. Last week driving home from Kirkland in rush hour traffic you cried the whole way. Reece and I have gotten pretty good at just making the best of it. Reece says Mommy sissy is crying we have to sing to her. I hope you grow out of this soon.
You still love your swing, being swaddled and your paci.
You laugh when you hear bells ringing or when I make raspberries at you, they both work every time.
Family Fun - Suncadia Style
Packed up and headed east for the weekend. Forgot my camera, whoops. We had a great time and will be back for sure!
I took a couple pictures with my cell phone.

You can do anything for 15 minutes.
Today I am killing it, totally nailing this thing called being a parent. My kids are being the angles I imagined they would be before I actually had kids. My two year old likes me and is cooperating, we did laundry together, how blissful. My 3 month old has been smiling at me all day like there is not a better mother out there and napping like a dream. I am moving around the house with finesse. Five loads of laundry done, put away done. Only an hour of TV watched, we built a camp sight, played band, flashlights, trucks, the kids have both been bathed and the house is staying somewhat cleaned. We are leaving in the morning for a family trip for the weekend (to stay out of the house), life is good.
Yesterday however was todays polar opposite, funny thing parenting is isn't it. Totally humbling experience...
Yesterday we powered through nap time, operated completely off schedule and had to stay out of our house till 6:30PM. This left me on the side of the road outside our house thinking in my head you can do anything for 15 minutes. I ran back and forth between kids putting Celine's paci back in and hugging Reece as they both sat in their car seats screaming.
Good thing I nailed it today, we all needed a day that ran smooth.
Happy Friday!
Still interviewing nannies if you know anyone.

For Sale
Two hours into our house being on the market on Friday we had already had two calls for showings. With the kids getting the house show ready and timing our exit is a stressful art form. Fortunately for us Craig's parents are in Hawaii so we packed up and headed out. We feel like we are testing out the suburbs, Reece loves it.

Over The River And Through The Woods
To grandmothers house he went
After Reece decided to pants me in front of the Dr. I decided to send him to grandmothers house for a sleepover. It is really a win win, he gets 100% of his grandmothers undivided attention, cookies, pizza and anything else he could ever want and Celine, Sophia and I get a clean house and some peace and quiet.
Last night when Craig got home we were eating dinner talking about how quiet our house was. We were both in shock that removing Reece would make our house feel so still. Honestly it felt like someone else's house. It was meticulously clean and we actually were eating and talking to each other, so weird. Oh the days when we did not have a toddler. Celine feels like a dream.
Now I know lately Reece has been getting a bad rap on this blog I don't want anyone to think I don't appreciate my spirited toddler, I do I promise. He is hilarious and his smile melts my heart. He is my first born and will always be my sunshine. I myself was spirited as a child so I appreciate his fire.
Reece likes to play secrets, you whisper things back and forth to each other. Usually they are things like "You don't eat feet silly you eat pancakes". Then we giggle and it is the other persons turn. Well two nights ago after the whole "situation" Craig and Reece were playing secrets. Reece drew Craig in and whispered in his ear "Mommy tells me to clean up and I say no Mommy I don't clean up you do". He then looked at Craig with a mischievous grin and laughed.
Spirit I tell you

I love that little rascal, someday I am going to be happy he has all this personality and passion.

Playing Superhero's
Being a Great Big Brother
Growing Magic Beans
I love you my spirited little boy, I thank God for the gift he gave me in you.
Baby Book Comparison
For each of our children I have started a baby book, being the third child whose baby book was never filled out it is important to me that they both have one. I do my best to keep it updated but I will admit I have guesstimated some of their milestones, shh don't tell.
For Reece we bought him an album from Fresh Outtakes.
For Celine we bought her an album from Ruby Love
Between the two I like the one from Ruby Love better, I can't really tell you why...I just do.
